APM, the chartered body of the project profession, believes that apprenticeships are essential to assist the growth of the project management profession. That is why we have established the Level 4 Higher Apprenticeship in Project Management Training programme to grow and develop talented project managers.
The PM Apprenticeship Programme has a number of components including 5 workshops, support webinars, relevant work experience and an exam. The typical duration for training and practical application leading up to the APM Associate Project Manager Apprenticeship exam is anticipated to be two years.
Target Audience
Specifically designed for Employers and their Employees who require development of their Project Management skills either within their organisation or as an individual within their organisation.
Learning Objectives
The Level 4 Associate Project Manager Apprenticeship will have a typical two-year duration. You will take the APM Project Management Qualification (PMQ) (IPMA Level D equivalent) as an on-programme assessment during your apprenticeship.
Your knowledge, skills and behaviours learned as an apprentice will be assessed in an end-point assessment. This assessment is a presentation and professional discussion based on project management experience

Workshop 2: Scoping and Scheduling
Requirements Management and Solutions Development
Steps in scheduling: WBS/PBS, Dependencies, Critical Path Analysis, Gantt Charts, Resource Histograms, ‘S’ Curve
Monitoring progress against the schedule: Milestones, KPI’s and Earned Value Management
