This weekend Modelling Business Processes course condenses three days training into two.

Previously known as ISEB Modelling Business Processes, this course provides practical skills for those leading or facilitating change in organisations.

The course contributes towards the Business Analysis Diploma. BCS Modelling Business Processes courses are available in London, Birmingham, Manchester, Leeds, Glasgow, Edinburgh and other UK cities.

In order to deliver radical and beneficial change, business analysts must be able to identify, evaluate and improve business processes. The use of modelling techniques facilitates a methodical and effective approach to defining change requirements. This allows public and commercial sector organisations to achieve significant improvements in the efficiency of their operations and the effectiveness of their product and service delivery.

This course will help business analysts deal with these challenges. It will equip delegates with the process modelling skills that are fundamental to the successful improvement of the business.

A realistic case study is used to practise key techniques including:

- Modelling an organisation
- The organisational view
- Analysing tasks
- Managing and measuring processes
- Creating AS-IS and TO-BE process models

This is an intensive 2 day course requiring pre-reading and long days (approx 9 hours).

Exams & Certification

For the Weekend course, the BCS Certificate in Modelling Business Processes exam is usually taken a week later at a time agreed with the delegate.

One hour ‘closed book’ multiple-choice exam. The pass mark is 25/40.

The Certificate is a "Practitioner" module for the BCS Diploma in Business Analysis.

  • You must bring photographic identification with you (passport, driving license or student card), as it is a BCS requirement to produce it for the invigilator prior to the exam. Failure to produce a valid form of photographic identification will result in a candidate not being able to sit the exam.

  • The BCS allows additional time for candidates who have a disability or whose business language is not English. Candidates can request this additional time in line with the BCS reasonable adjustments policy.
