PRINCE2 is a structured, process-based approach for effective project management, which is designed to be reliable, flexible and scalable for all types of projects. Firmly established as one of the world’s most practised methods for project management, PRINCE2 enjoys wide recognition for best practice and the course, updated in 2017, retains the fundamental principles whilst shifting the emphasis to meet the evolving demands of the modern business environment. It continues to be used extensively across UK Government and public and private sector organisations globally.

Our highly regarded Practitioner and Integrated courses are structured so that the Practitioner exam is taken in the classroom directly after the training element (as per Foundation but at the end of the week). We prefer this approach to the post course online exam booking system as it ensures that the course content is fresh in the mind and enables delegates to leave having completed both the course and examination.

The Foundation examination involves 3 days of formal instruction (Mon–Wed). The fee includes the cost of the Foundation examination and the official Stationery Office (TSO) PRINCE2 manual.

Who should take the course?

PRINCE2 is designed for both current and aspiring project managers. It is relevant to anyone involved in the design, development and delivery of projects, including team managers, project assurance and support personnel and operational staff - essentially anyone looking to improve their confidence and knowledge in managing projects successfully within the workplace.

Learning Objectives

Benefits – individual?

PRINCE2 certification will give you the skills you need to become a more effective project manager and manage a project of any scale with success. The method draws on the real-life expertise of the global project management community through guidance that is practical, flexible and accessible. As such, it is often a prerequisite for project management roles, so can significantly enhance your employability.

Benefits – organisation?

Using PRINCE2 in your projects helps establish common systems, procedures and language. It provides you with greater control of resources and the ability to manage business and project risk more effectively, ultimately saving time and money.

No previous knowledge of PRINCE2 is necessary.

It is helpful to have experience of working in a project environment.

Armada House
Telephone Avenue

By Train

Bristol Temple Meads train station is only a short distance away. Buses and taxis to the City Centre or Baldwin Street are frequently available, although when weather permits it is a pleasant walk of approximately 20 minutes. The most direct route on foot is to turn right at the end of the station approach, then walk about 50 metres. Just before the roundabout, cross the road using the pedestrian crossing. You will then see a second pedestrian crossing which you should also cross. Turn right. Stay on the pavement and this will take you off at the next exit from the roundabout into Victoria Street. Walk the length of Victoria Street and over Bristol Bridge, which crosses the river. Turn left into Baldwin Street. Continue past the first left turn (Queen Charlotte Street). The next left turn after Queen Charlotte Street is a pedestrianised cobbled street called Telephone Avenue. Armada House is the last building on the right.

Where to park

There are long-term Pay & Display car parks in The Grove and Canon’s Marsh and NCP car parks in Prince Street and in Queen Charlotte Street. Most of the larger hotels in the area have on-site parking or arrangements with car park operators. These are usually charged over and above nightly rates but not always. There are also Park & Ride facilities located at Long Ashton, Brislington and the Portway (Avonmouth).

Up to 15 hours pre-course reading will be required.
